Safari Expo
A class experience like no other is what’s in store at Rolling Hills Zoo during Safari Expo. Join the Rolling Hills, Smoky Hill Education Service Center and Sternberg Museum of Natural History for an exciting day of exploring science careers. All eighth grade through high school classes are welcome to attend this unique career fair.
Last year’s event, over 20 science professionals from various fields, like zoos, museums, meteorology, space, aviation and horticulture, were on hand to share experiences, job duties and advice on getting started to Kansas high school and 8th grade students.
Presenters will be on hand and set up throughout the zoo from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on the last Wednesday each September and this year special career presentations by several different professionals will be scheduled throughout the event. Advance registration is required for this event and will open approximately one month prior to the event date. This event is ever-growing, so plan to register early for this unique opportunity.
