As the sun goes down, the nights get WILD at Rolling Hills Zoo!
Imagine an evening surrounded by some of the world’s most amazing animals….set in 65 beautifully landscaped acres…..watching the sun set over the Kansas prairie….Rolling Hills Zoo is the perfect place for an event unlike any other!
Rental Packages:
If you are planning an evening event for a group as small as 100, or as large as 1,000, you have three levels of Rental Packages to choose from:
Picnic Shelter Rental: $250
Rental of Picnic Shelter with covered seating for 240 guests. Available from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. or sundown, whichever is earlier. The shelter is open to the general public until 5 p.m.
Because the Picnic Shelter is located adjacent to the Zoo, admission to the Zoo and trams are not included in this package. These admission options during regular operating hours (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.) may be arranged in advance for an additional fee.
Standard Rental: $1,200
Exclusive Zoo rental from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. or sundown, whichever is earlier. Includes Overlook Patio rental and security fee.
Depending on the time of year, you will have access to the exhibits of animals that spend the night outdoors. This might include rhino and giraffe barns, Kid’s Country, deer, pronghorn, exotic birds, reptile building, urials, prairie dogs and monkey islands.
If you would like your guests to view all of the animals, including those that are off exhibit in the evening, you may arrange for your guests to enter the Zoo with wristbands before 5 p.m., and stay until your event’s conclusion.
The Standard Rental fee includes admission for the first 100 guests. After the first 100 guests, you will be billed on a per person basis as follows:

Your guests will enjoy all of our animal exhibits, except chimpanzees and orangutans, until 7 p.m. After 7 p.m., you will continue to have access to the exhibits whose animals spend the night outdoors.
The Premium Rental fee includes admission for the first 100 guests. After the first 100 guests, you will be billed on a per person basis as follows:

After Hours Catering:
Rolling Hills offers full service catering on-site from the Overlook Restaurant. No food or beverage may be brought into the Zoo by guests. No alcohol is permitted anywhere on Zoo premises. Smoking is allowed in the parking lot only. Contact the Group Sales Manager for a catering menu.
Renting Trams:
Our narrated trams tour the park, and include a history of the Zoo, as well as facts about our animals, and insight into the efforts to protect endangered species. Each tram accommodates 24 guests. A minimum of two weeks notice is required to schedule trams for an After Hours event. Rates are as follows:

Add a visit to the Wildlife Museum:
For groups wanting to add a visit to our world-class Wildlife Museum, please add an additional per person admission fee. Group rates are as follows:
Adults (age 13-64) $8.05
Senior (age 65+) $7.15
Child (age 3-12) $4.45
Unless your group is tax-exempt, a 6.3% sales tax applies to all RHWA fees.
