Picnic Options

Picnics at Rolling Hills Wildlife Adventure are great for groups of all ages!  From corporate picnics to family reunions, RHWA is a fun, unique setting unlike any other.

Daytime Options:
During regular operating hours you may rent the open-air Overlook Patio inside the Zoo ($100 plus Zoo admission) and purchase a meal through our on-site catering service.  Additional tables and chairs may be rented at your expense. Small groups may also utilize the Picnic Shelter on a first-come-first-serve basis.  The shelter offers covered seating for 240 guests, and is equipped with restrooms, soft drink vending machines, and a small play area for young children.  Reservations for large groups are not accepted during the day as the shelter remains available to the general public until 5:00 p.m.

RHWA can cater a meal for your group at the Picnic Shelter, or you may carry in your own food if you wish (outside catering is not allowed).  This is the only area at RHWA that you are allowed to carry in your own food.  Sorry, no grills, but electrical outlets are available for crock pots or roasters.

Evening Options:
For a truly private event, the Picnic Shelter is available to rent from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. ($250).  Your guests may visit the Zoo and Wildlife Museum during the day until closing at 5:00 p.m., then gather at the Picnic Shelter for your private evening picnic.  For the picnic shelter reservation form click here.
