17	Father's Day Car Show 11th annual car show celebrates Father’s Day with up to 200 cars, trucks, and motorcycles displayed in the Zoo.

4	Freedom Safari Celebrate Independence Day with wild activities for the kids. Kids 12 and under get FREE admission with a paid adult.
14	Zoo Keeper Zone Take part in a full day of animal enrichment activities along with keeper talks.
15-21	National Zoo Keeper Week Join us as we honor the Rolling Hills Zoo Keepers along with the approximately 6,000 animal care professionals in the United States and the work they do in animal care, conservation, and education.
21	RARE: Portraits of America’s Endangered Species opens Immerse yourself in the works of National Geographic photographer and Nebraska native Joel Sartore documenting North American species facing extinction. Exhibited in the Earl Bane Gallery through September 30, 2012.
29	Taste of Adventure: Joel Sartore Photographer, speaker, author, teacher, and a regular contributor to National Geographic0 magazine, Joel Sartore has a remarkable sense of humor and a Midwestern work ethic. 11-12	Back-to-School Blast Bring the whole family for a weekend full of special activities before the kids head back to school. Half-price admission and $1 hamburgers all weekend!

6	Green Revolution opens This innovative hands-on exhibit will inspire, educate, entertain and empower families to make easy lifestyle changes to create more environmentally aware citizens. Exhibited in the Earl Bane Gallery through December 31, 2012.
13	Pumpkin PaZoola Kids get a free pumpkin and free admission with a paid adult. A great fall festival that’s fun for the entire family!
14-20	Wolf Awareness Week Celebrate the importance and beauty of the wolf in our world today and gain a better understanding of the role that the wolf plays in maintaining a healthy planet.

4-10	Orangutan Awareness Week Learn more about the orangutan, why its survival is being threatened, and what you can do to help save the orangutan.
10	Go Orange for Orangutans Day© Show how much you care about orangutans by adding orange to your day! Wear something orange to Rolling Hills and save $2 on an adult admission, $1 on a child admission - or donate it to orangutan conservation!

22	Yes - we are open! Both the Zoo and Museum are open Thanksgiving Day and weekend. On Friday, Saturday, & Sunday trams will run regular times. This will be the last weekend trams will run this season.

15-16	Romp n' Chomp A great family-fun camp, making Christmas presents (enrichment) for the animals.
24-25	RHWA is closed for Christmas.
28	Winter Day Camp Day-long education camp for 1st through 5th graders.
