Dream Night
June 11, 2010
at Rolling Hills Wildlife Adventure

The purpose of Dreamnight at the Zoo is to provide a free evening at the zoo for children with chronic illness or disabilities.

This annual event allows children with disabilities and special health needs the ability to visit the zoo with their families in an environment where the children feel more comfortable to enjoy the animals and special activities at their own pace in a safe, yet fun setting.

Created in 1996 by the Netherlands’ Rotterdam Zoo, Dreamnight at the Zoo has grown to include 206 partners in 36 countries. In 2008, some 75,000 children with chronic illness or disabilities attended a Dreamnight at the Zoo somewhere in the world. With their parents and siblings that means some 300,000 special guests!

Rolling Hills Wildlife Adventure is currently one of only two zoos in Kansas that is an official Dreamnight at the Zoo partner. To learn more about Dreamnight at the Zoo history, mission and partners, go to www.dreamnightatthezoo.nl.
