We’re Raising the Roof! The old 28,000-square-foot barn has served first Rolling Hills Ranch and now the zoo for 30 years. With renovations, it will continue to serve the animals and staff well for many years to come. The Past 30 years ago: Used to house and care for Belgian horses Contained horse stalls and working arena Stored tack and feed 20 years ago: Added more animals to the mix including a lioness, bear cubs, and a llama Served as a holding area as new animal exhibits were added to the zoo Became a warm home for zoo residents that needed indoor space in the winter Used as the zoo’s commissary The Future The upgraded barn will meet new needs and better serve current ones: Lower the ceiling and construct a wall between the animal area and arena to reduce heating costs and enable climate control for species that will reside in the barn House a growing educational animal collection – an essential part of outreach and on-site programs – all under one roof
Live Auction This year’s auction committee has really outdone themselves! Wildly Elegant Valentine’s Day Dinner - Dinner for 12 in the unique setting of the Wildlife Museum. Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2012. The Perfect Party Pair - Enjoy your two favorites – beer and chocolate! This party for 16 will be hosted by Charlie and Brooke Tuttle and Jason and Cathy Graves at the Tuttle’s home. Wolf Creek Men’s Club Golf and the Spa Tuscano Package - Three men will enjoy a round of golf at this exclusive men’s only club with Mike Money while the ladies are pampered at the Spa Tuscano. Includes rooms for one night at the Raphael Hotel. Rock Around the Clock with The Babes - Let the “Babes in the Band” take you down nostalgia lane with 50’s cocktails and party food at The Linger Longer in Bennington. This package for 40 people will be on Sunday, August 14th. RHWA – Go for the Gold - This golden passport will allow the bearer special extras for one year each time they visit Rolling Hills Wildlife Adventure.
